The Housing Opportunity for Persons With HIV/AIDS (HOPWA) program is funded by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide housing assistance and related supportive services to low-income persons diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and their families. HOPWA helps clients maintain housing stability, avoid homelessness and improve access to HIV treatment and other health care.
