Module #3 – Anatomy and Physiology: From Breast to Baby

Overview:

In Module #3, practitioners will review the anatomy and physiology involved in milk production and lactation. Breast care and the baby’s role in milk transfer will also be discussed.

Objectives:

  • Describe basic breast anatomy and physiology involved in lactation.
  • List hormones that impact lactation.
  • Understand process in milk production.
  • Describe baby’s role in milk transfer.
  • Explain breast care.

Content:
