Maryland's Family Planning Program provides clinical and related services to approximately 78,000 women and men each year at clinics located in every county. No one is denied services because of the inability to pay. The program is partly funded by the federal Title X Family Planning Grant. No federal or state funds are used to pay for or support abortions.
It is estimated that approximately 267,650 women throughout the state are in need of the publicly subsidized family planning services offered by the Maryland Family Planning and Reproductive Health Program.
