​Immediate Postpartum Long-Acting Reversible Contraception​

The Immediate Postpartum Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (IPP LARC) toolkit was created through the collaboration of the Maryland Department of Health and Obstetrician/Gynecologists at Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital.  The purpose of the toolkit is to provide guidance for the provision of IPP L​​​ARC​ in Maryland hospitals. This document and associated materials address considerations for integration of IPP L​​ARC into existing workflows and protocols. The toolkit aims to provide hospitals with technical assistance as they integrate IP​P LARC into routine practice. This toolkit is not to be considered medical advice about contraceptive choices or use. Individuals who have questions should seek guidance from their gynecologist or primary care provider.
